SpeakOut Bootcamp – Level 1 (Foundation Public Speaking & Communication Skills)

SpeakOut Bootcamp Level 1 is a six-month foundation program designed to help children and teenagers aged 6–19 discover their voice, build confidence, and develop essential public speaking skills. Each month, students engage with structured video lessons, interactive quizzes, live Zoom classes, and weekly practical tasks to strengthen communication and leadership skills. By the end of the program, students will confidently deliver speeches, tell stories with impact, and participate in a final showcase. Parents receive regular updates, feedback, and certificates of achievement.

Course Content

Module 1: Finding Your Voice
Objective: Help students discover and confidently use their voice. Lessons (1st Sunday Video Lesson) Introduction to Public Speaking Voice, tone, and clarity Overcoming shyness and embracing expression Weekly Tasks / Assignments Practice reading aloud for 5 minutes daily Record a 1-minute “introduce yourself” video and submit Optional tongue twisters practice Quiz (Completion-Based) 5–7 questions on voice, tone, and confidence strategies Live Zoom Class (3rd Sunday) Icebreaker activity Practice speaking exercise Feedback and reflection

Module 2: Speech Crafting
Objective: Teach students how to structure an effective speech. Lessons Openings that grab attention Body of the speech – clear points Closings that leave an impact Transitions and hooks Weekly Tasks / Assignments Draft a 1-minute speech using the taught structure Submit speech draft on LMS Practice speech aloud and record for review Quiz (Completion-Based) Multiple-choice / true-false questions on speech structure Live Zoom Class Peer review of speeches Practice session with feedback

Module 3: Storytelling for Impact
Objective: Help students use stories to make speeches memorable. Lessons The 5-part story arc Using emotion and memory in speech Personal anecdotes for connection Weekly Tasks / Assignments Write and submit a 1–2 minute personal story Optional: Share a story in the WhatsApp group Quiz (Completion-Based) Questions on story structure and emotional connection Live Zoom Class Storytelling exercises Peer feedback and encouragement

Module 4: Audience Awareness + Expression
Objective: Teach students to adapt their message to listeners and express themselves clearly. Lessons Understanding your audience Vocal variation and empathy Eye contact and non-verbal cues Weekly Tasks / Assignments Practice a short speech focusing on vocal variation Record and submit a video demonstrating eye contact and gestures Quiz (Completion-Based) 5–7 questions on audience awareness and non-verbal expression Live Zoom Class Role-play exercises Live feedback and coaching

Module 5: Presentation Practice
Objective: Improve stage presence, posture, and delivery. Lessons Posture, pausing, and pacing Using props and visual aids Audience engagement techniques Weekly Tasks / Assignments Deliver a 1–2 minute presentation using props or visual aids Submit a recorded video for mentor feedback Quiz (Completion-Based) Questions on delivery techniques and engagement strategies Live Zoom Class Presentation practice Peer feedback and mentor coaching

Module 6: Impromptu Speaking with PREP
Objective: Prepare students for spontaneous speaking situations. Lessons Introduction to the PREP method (Point, Reason, Example, Point) Thinking on your feet exercises Live drills Weekly Tasks / Assignments Record a 1–2 minute impromptu speech on a random topic Submit for review Quiz (Completion-Based) Multiple-choice / scenario-based questions on PREP Live Zoom Class Impromptu speech drills Feedback and tips
